#58 Crossing to the Future, Paddling Lady by artist VERNON NYAGWETA

$1,799.00

Vernon was born on the 23rd of April 1984, in Rusape, Manicaland Province, Zimbabwe. During his school days, Vernon established himself as the best student in his art class with regard to his drawing. He also presented some small stone sculptures, which impressed his peers. This he learned from his older brother, Eddy Nyagweta. Eddy had created a name for himself and had even exhibited in Europe. In 2004 Vernon began sculpting as an assistant to his brother. His brother inspired him to pursue his craft, and he chose subjects like human figurines, torsos, abstracts, heads, and animals. He would take inspiration from the actual stone shape to be guided to his final piece. He too has exhibited in Korea, Germany, Britain, Netherlands, the USA, and South Africa. His aim is to inspire the next generation.
