Born in 2003, in Guruve, Zimbabwe. Tamel is a young man who started to carve stones in 2019. He followed in the footsteps of his uncle, Stewart Chapenga, as his father has passed on. He mainly carves abstract flowers, on his choice of stones which are Opal, Butterjade, and Spring Stone. Tamel says he is hugely grateful to the international market for supporting the carvers of Zimbabwe. Tamel is a resident artist at Tsindi Arts Centre in Harare.
