#68 Family, Ours by artist WASHINGTON MUSONZA

$1,799.00

Born 22 September 1966 in Domboshava. He started sculpting in 1988, at the age of 22 and was taught by his brother and grandmother. The spiritual man has found Serpentine Stone to be his media and mediator. His early pieces were small, but with natural talent, soon great interest arose from art lovers noticing his works. These galleries were the likes of the Nhukutuku, Chapungu, and the Zimbabwe National Gallery. His determination, discipline, and deep spirituality can be seen and felt in all his works. When he works you can detect a song or melody either spiritual or real since he often hums or sings his Gospel whilst fully focussed on his work. He is a patient and experienced leader of sculpture workshops and has traveled to exhibitions in China, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Canada. He has two permanent sculptures at the Krippana Museum in Belgium, and one permanent piece at Kevelear in Germany.
