Perkins Chikumbirike was born on 26 March 1981, in Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe. He grew up loving the arts due to his family being involved. As he grew up he began making small sculptures with guidance and advice from his father. He was becoming an artist with interest and promise and started selling his works. He was only 15 years old at that time. His artwork is presented in abstract form, his preferred medium of expression being the use of mixed stones that consist of an array of colors. His work bares extraordinary shapes and portrays inspirational, social, and historical messages.
