Patience was born in 1982, in Chivhu District, Zimbabwe. She is the only girl in a family of five. She is a single mother of three. After completing her schooling, she worked as a dressmaker, where she gained skills of creativity. During her visits to friends at Chitungwiza Arts Centre, Patience was inspired when she saw other women working on stone sculptures. She then decided to take up the challenge. Patience likes to work on pieces with the story of African women. She is currently working under the tutorship of Rufaro Murenza, an award winner and acclaimed artist at Chitungwiza Arts Centre. She is a woman with a strong mind aiming to reach greater heights in the arts so as to share the story of African women with the world. She aims to reach the international platform of art workshops and exhibitions. She has good humor and works well with other women artists, raising each other’s morale to compete with their male counterparts.
