"Born on the 1st of June 1972 in Harare. At the age of 19 I was inspired to become a stone sculptor by Simon Chiseko. At present I get my inspiration from my wife and my children. I want to make a great success of my art with the concept of excellence and perfection in my heart. I am sure my art will reach great heights. My works are on display at the Harare Safari Lodge Zimbabwe, Musande Gallery Germany, Guruve Gallery UK, South Korea and my workplace Chitungwiza Arts Centre amongst others. I was part of African Odyssey from Ancient Spirits Modern Misses group exhibition at OXO gallery in London. From 2003 to 2005 I stayed in South Korea living and working with artists from the globe and participated in several workshops and exhibitions. I specialize in human figurative abstracts of which female fat figures are my main subject, which I think are a form of beauty, tenderness and warmth of heart." Artwell Chipiri
